From Reuter's "Oddly Enough".
"We were detained by one of the wealthiest countries in the world, yet it was only after four months in detention that they gave me cigarettes," said Barzan, charged with crimes against humanity.
*sniffle* Poor fellow.
I say give these guys more nicotine! Hell, let's make the best cigarettes in the world! Concentrate some nicotine, soak the tobacco in it (careful! it'll kill you through your skin), pack it in some tubes and let 'em smoke their heart out.
Oh, and get this:
Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, Saddam's former intelligence chief and one of his most feared sidekicks, also said the food was bad and he was not given blankets. He lost 18 kilos in just two months in captivity, he complained.
I think we're saving this guy's life.
Helping him quit smoking. Helping him lose 40 pounds. Hell, in another couple months this guy might even be able to get a girlfriend without threat of execution.
Poor Iraqi tyrants ....
